Dukka

Compromised of toasted nuts and seeds, dukka is an Egyptian spice that varies depending on the cook. Pistochio, hazelnut, chickpea, coriander, cumin, sesame, and thyme are all potential ingredients for dukka. The toasted ingredients are ground into a fine powder that can be sprinkled over salads, fish, or pasta. Dukka can be mixed with olive oil to form a paste for drizzling over warm breads.
